Course Duration |
3 Years 6 Semesters of each 6 months
duration). First five semesters the students will undergo theory and
practical classes at IIAT. The Sixth semester is entirely for On Job
training and the students will be sponsored for OJT in M/s INSTRULAB,
Chennai or any other AMO. |

Qualification |
A Pass in 10 +2 MPC group with an aggregate of min 50%
marks in MPC or a pass in any other examination recognized by as
equivalent to 10 +2.
Any 3 years Engineering Diploma
recognized by AICTE with 50% aggregate.
Any Engineering degree holder or Bsc (MPC)
or Msc (MPC). |

Age Concertinos |
Minimum 17 years for admission. Otherwise no
age bar. Concertinos in tuition fees are given to meritorious
students having aggregate of 70% and above. |

Fees Structures |
Consists of admission fees and Rs.10,000/-
for Supply of entire course text books and kit and tuition fees are
given to meritorious student having aggregate of 70% and above. |

Physical Fitness |
Medicals certificate from approved medicals
practitioner (MBBS) |

DGCA Examination |
Basic license
examinations are conducted by Director general of Civil Aviation,
New Delhi, every year in February, June and October sessions.
Paper – I : CAR – on completion of two semesters
Paper – II : General Engg. Maintenance Practices – On completion of
4 Semesters.
Paper – III : On passing Paper I & II students can appear for Paper
III RN after 2 ½ Years and Paper III. ES & IS after OJT period of 6
months. |

On Job Training |
On Job Training (OJT)
will be provided at Instrulab, which is approved by
Director General of Civil Aviation for Servicing of
Aircraft Instruments & Calibration of Ground Support
Equipment.

Issue of License |
On passing Paper III in
relevant category “Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License” (BAMEL)
will be issued by the DGCA, Govt. of India. |
